AIR POLLUTION

Introduction to air pollution.

Air pollution is basically the presence of foreign substance in air in excessive concentration which adversely affects the well_being of the individual or causes damage to property.wherever we live the air is contaminated to some degree .the earliest pollutants noted in the atmosphere were of natural origin; like smoke, fumes, ash and gases form volcanoes and forest fires.

SOURCES OF AIR POLLUTION

1,Natural sources  -- natural sources includes wind-blown dust.volcanic eruptions,forest fires,
cosmic dust, pollen grains, sand storms activities etc.
2.Industrial sources -- industry is one of the major sources of air pollution.especially in developing
countries like india. The combustion of fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas
lead to emission of huge quantities of air pollutants into the atmosphere.
3.Domestic sources -- domestic sector also contribute a lot in air pollution.

CLASSIFICATION OF AIR POLLUTION

1.According to origin
on the basic of origin air pollution can be divided into two categories primary and secondary air pollution.

1.primary air pollution
2.secondary air pollution

2.According to chemical composition
3.According to state of matter

TYPES COMMON  OF AIR POLLUTION

1.Carbon monoxide, Oxides of sulphur, Oxides of nitrogn, Hydro carbons and particulates are the five main air pollution that contribute more then 90% of  global air pollution. These air pollution along with other important air pollution are discussed here under in detail with special refernece to their characteristics, sources, sinks and

EFFECTS OF AIR POLLUTION

In this article we will discuss the effects of air pollution of four major parameters human health,
plants, animals and economics fo the country.
