Soil is a thin layer of a material on the Earth's surface in which plants have their roots.In other words; "Soil id the thin layer of  organic and inorganic materials that covers the Earth's rocky surface". It is made up of particles of broken rock that have been altered by chemical and environmental processes that include weathering and erosion.Soil is a mixture of  mineral and organic constituents that are in solid,gaseous and adqueous states.
